Not able to edit blocks

The last 2 days when trying to add text to my Blog, the cursor disappears and I can’t edit the blocks I choose. It doesn’t happen on all blocks. I end up having to copy and paste the text into a new block and delete the other.
Very time consuming and definitely not right.A hack or a glitch?

Hello again, Are you posting from the website or in the WP app? If the former, what browser and OS are you using?

It only happens on my PC. I am using Google and Windows 7 Professional.
Or ‘Broken windows’ as I refer to it!
I know the support for it runs out on January 20th.

By “Google” do you mean Chrome? If so, what version are you running?
Regardless, your browser should have javascript enabled and allow 3rd party cookies. Here’s more information on checking those settings: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
If those settings are enabled in Chrome and you are still having this issue, try logging out of WordPress.com, clearing your browser cache and cookies, which will also log you out of any other site you are currently logged into, shutting down your browser and then reopening it and log back in.

It worked and solved the editing issue. Now, I have other issues.
The text keeps moving up and down when I highlight anything, I then have to search the section to find it. Also, when I highlight a line to delete, it is sometimes taking the whole block of text with it.I can cope with that at the moment as it isn’t too troublesome. If there is a solution though, I’d be happy to see it.

If you logged out of WordPress.com and worked through the browser troubleshooting guide and your browser settings are set to accept 3rd party cookies and javascript, there’s not much more we can do, especially since you mentioned that you are using Win7Pro.
Are you using the latest version of Chrome which is Version 79.0.3945.79 (Official Build)?
If you cannot update to the latest version of Chrome, you might consider using Mozilla’s Firefox.

I will go back to Firefox. I got used to chrome when all the handy icons were synced on my Google homepage. Everything was just a click away ( height of laziness).
;-)I never had these issues with Firefox. Hardly use a PC these days having got used to devices and apps. I’m very impressed with the mobile app for WP.
Is there a way to change font size in editing blocks?
