Not able to edit my articles in annotum theme

The wordpress theme is Annotum.
There is concept of articles, posts and pages in this theme. Articles are different from posts.
I am having issues with editing of articles. The problem has been there for the last one month. I thought it would go away by its own but it did not.Three issues
1. Whenever I try to edit an article, the display of the buttons of the body sections is not proper. Some of the buttons such as bold, italics, underline, etc are visible whereas others such as insert ordered list, insert quote, etc are not. When I hover a mouse on the invisible buttons, it shows the caption of button. The same is true with the buttons of the appendix section, though I am not using any appendix.2. Some of the buttons do not work such as insert link.
2. The font size of the actual content in the body section is quite small compared to the actual font size. This was not the case earlier. Earlier whenever I edited the article, the font size of the content was as big as the actual font size of the article content.
I am not editing/updating my articles for the last one month as I feared as it may result in loss of formatting of the article. And whole of my previous efforts may get wasted.

It’s a known issue, unfortunately. Please see this post for more info; the short version is that Annotum is broken with WordPress v3.9. We are working on a fix but it will take some time.
A workaround is to convert articles to posts (there’s a ‘convert to post’ button on the article editor). Note that this is a one-way process that can’t really be undone.

Good to know that the Annotum Team is working on Annotum 2.0 to have a fix for self-hosted (wordpress.org) site. But mine is wordpress.com site.
I am ready to wait for few months if I am sure that Annotum team will work (or atleast try to have a fix) to fix annotum for wordpress.com site once it completes with wordpress.org.
I wish to remain with annotum theme.

The Annotum themes are not currently under active development at WordPress.com. Because of that, I’m not sure whether the best route will be to switch to a different theme or wait for an update from the Annotum theme authors and see if we can implement that. I am going to check in with our theme developers about the issue so it can be discussed. Someone will report back here as soon as there is any new information to report. Hopefully we can post an update about this early next week.
