Not able to get to my admin/dashboard
-
Hi- I didn’t work on my website for a while, and when I got back to it, I couldn’t get on my admin/dashboard page. When I try to from the stats page, I get a blank screen with the address in the browser bar, http://www.curbtocottage.com/wp-admin/. I’m looking to get someone to help me with content and appearance, but in the meantime I’d like to be able to access the page myself. It gives me a message also that my jetpack needs to be updated, but when I try, I get another blank page. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. Gayle T

Hi @ggirouxt
This forum is for blogs/sites hosted by WordPress.comWordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
And you should ask in the WordPress.org forum
http://wordpress.org/support/ -
galois- I do have a WordPress.com account, and not wordpress.org. I am signed in here and have been managing my site from here. That is why I was surprised when I could only get on my stats page and not the dashboard.

ggirouxt, do you have the Premium or custom domain upgrades? That might be the source of the confusion on galios’s part. Most sites on WordPress.com have this type of url: http://yoursite’sname.wordpress.com/, unless the user purchased one of the upgrades.
You can access WordPress.org websites through the WordPress.com dashboard. I was able to do that with a self-hosted site I used to have.

@ggirouxt: http://www.curbtocottage.com/ is not hosted by WordPress.com but iPage.
See here, please: http://www.whoishostingthis.com/?q=curbtocottage.com@fjordaniv: I have no confusion about this.
2) Determine whether or not the blog is hosted at WordPress.com.
If you see a link that reads “Blog at WordPress.com” in the footer of the blog (linked to http://wordpress.com), this normally means that it is hosted here (although external blogs may place this in the footer, if they choose to). Also, if you are logged into WordPress.com, you will see your gray-colored admin bar at the top of your screen.from http://en.support.wordpress.com/content-theft-what-to-do/#copyright-infringement
then, check with http://www.curbtocottage.com/
