Not Able to set up Zoho mailbox using your instructions. Please advise ASAP

    I followed your instructions to establish Zoho mail on my wordpress hosted site (walkthelightbridge.org). not successful. posted inquiry for help on support forum. will submit this request with the EXACT entry I made on the DNS page:

    MX 10 mx.zohomail.com
    MX 20 mx2.zohomail.com
    CNAME zb******** domain.zoho.com

    Clicked the option to check it first. Information can be saved was the response, so clicked save. Waited 2+ hours. went to the zoho page, and response was it could not be verified.
    Will you PLEASE confirm that the information as displayed above (without the actual 8-digit code) was entered correctly?
    Will be looking for a response in my email box. Soon. Thanks. mediumjuliemarie

  • Hi there – your records look correct in the DNS editor. Could you please check that you chose the CNAME verification method over on the Zoho side? I believe they now also offer an HTML verification method, and if that was accidentally selected, then the DNS records you used wouldn’t work at their end.

    Finally sucked up the nerve to try and fix this…when I went into zoho, made SURE i clicked CNAME which is what I’d done before. Then, when I went into my dashboard to edit DNS, saw there was still a period in there on the last line. I deleted that, and saved the new records. will now wait for about an hour to go back to zoho to verify…will keep you posted. apologize for not responding sooner, tech stuff of this level stresses me, I mean “stretches” me…

    OOPs Should have made it it’s own separate message. CNAME verification failed. AGAIN. NOW what can I do? Happiness is not coming to me…I am in desperate need of getting this email up and running. I have thousand business cards with it on them, and some have already tried to email me there. Can I pay someone to help solve this problem? I would be happy to.

  • Hi there – I’m sorry your email still isn’t working. Your DNS records look correct on our side. I suggest you contact Zoho support to see if they can help on their end, as there may be something on that side that isn’t quite right:

    They have an online ticket system as well as forums. Their phone support is reserved for paid accounts.
