I’ve seen that error message come up when payment from a particular country is not supported. If you do not see your country listed here, then check out Timethief’s response in this forum post for alternative ways to pay.
If your country is listed on that page, add “modlook” to the tags section of this forum thread to flag it for a staff member’s attention.

Are you trying to renew an upgrade?
If so, the issue is because the account you are posting from is not the owner of that upgrade. You will need to log into the upgrade owner’s account in order to renew.
