NOT ABLE TO UPLOAD AUDIO FILES

    Hello!
    I am a free version wordpress user and I’ve been trying to upload a .mp3 file into the audio media of my blog. I haven’t been able to upload the files. Everytime I try it displays the following: ‘Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.’

    It also mentions this while I try to upload new media:
    ‘Allowed file types: jpg, jpeg, png, gif, pdf, doc, ppt, odt, pptx, docx, pps, ppsx, xls, xlsx, key, asc.’

    Can someone please help me with this?

    Hello!

    According to the support documentation, you need a paid plan to upload .mp3 files to your media library.

    With the purchase of the WordPress.com Personal, Premium, Business or eCommerce plan, you are also permitted to upload zip files and the following audio file types…(snipped)

    .mp3
    .m4a (might not work in all browsers)
    .ogg
    .wav
