I’m sorry but you are posting to the wrong support forum. We cannot help you here at wordpress.COM because that site is not hosted here and we do not provide support for sites we do not host.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
Resetting your WordPress.ORG password http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page -
Also note that themes licensed and available only for use on sites hosted by wordpress.COM like this one https://wordpress.com/themes/anemone/ cannot be transferred and used on wordpress.ORG installs. https://en.support.wordpress.com/premium-themes/
If you did purchase that theme from WordPress.COM then know that WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
When you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade what do you see in these two locations please?
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/
as well as
Dashboard > Store > Billing History -
Themes purchased here on WordPress.com can only be used here, and not on your self-hosted GoDaddy site. As timethief mentioned, you can issue yourself a refund for Anemone in your dashboard. If you have any trouble with it, let me know and I can help you with that.

When I set up my account with WordPress.com i was prompted to use godaddy as my host so I was under the impression that the two companies work together. Am I able to use WordPress as my host and not godaddy and then use the anemone theme. Do anyone know the advantages/disadvantages to using one over the other as my host?

The naming is a bit confusing, sorry about that! Give this link a read, and then reply back here if you still have any questions:

Sorry about the godly- it was supposed to say godaddy but it was auto corrected to godly. Anyways, I know understand the difference between WordPress.com and .org and would like to use .com and focus on the blogging aspect only. Can someone just explain to me why I was prompted to choose godaddy as my host when I have only ever used WordPress.com. If I can use WordPress for everything i would love that! Please help! I have spent way too many hours on this problem. Thank you SO much.

thegentlemansadvantage.com. – is registered with Godaddy – it is common for most registrars to recommend their own hosting when you register a domain name – When I registered a name with Name Cheap – they had ads for their own hosting –

I’m really not sure. It could just be a matter of where you started or how you searched, WordPress.com and WordPress.org things are easy to mix up sometimes. Sorry about that!
GoDaddy is a domain registrar where you can purchase and manage a custom domain name only, or it can also be a web host—same goes for WordPress.com. And they can be mixed and matched.
Now that you have already indeed purchased thegentlemansadvantage.com through GoDaddy, you will need to continue to renew it there because WordPress.com doesn’t currently have a way to accept incoming domain transfers. The domain mapping upgrade on the WordPress.com is a service fee charged to map the domain you purchased through GoDaddy to your blog setup at WordPress.com. That also needs to be renewed annually. A lot of people are setup this way with their domain registrar being another company but using WordPress.com as their host. I checked http://thegentlemansadvantage.com/ just now and it looks like everything is working if your end goal is to use WordPress.com to manage your blog.
Domains can be confusing because there is a lot of control for how you can set them up and sort them out. Hopefully our thread here has helped to clear up how things work though!
