Not able to use a Text Widget

I was trying to add the google chat back client (which got released today) into my side bar. I had one text widget which had my LinkedIn profile. So i added another tex widget and pasted the html code in it(which google gave) . But when i click Save button and I check the widget i dont see any text there. I mean the text gets lost and the widget goes blank. Dunno why this is happening. Am i doing something wrong ? I did the same thing when i incorporated the LinkedIn button and that went on smoothly.
Could you please help me out with this ?

Chances are there’s more than just html in that code. If it has java or flash it will be stripped out for security reasons.
If you’d like to post it here so we can see it, please put the code between backticks. The key for that is just to the left of the number 1 on your keyboard and looks like `.

There’s a meebo chat widget in your widget box, if that’s any help to you.
