Not able to view full screen on mobile devices

The website when viewed on a mobile device only takes up half of the screen (so basically my website is the on the right and the entire left side is blank). Is there any plug in besides wp touch that can solve this problem and be able to view the website full screen while retaining the desktop version of the theme? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
