Not able to view site after domain mapping

Hope you can help. Time is of the essence since I have created a new website/blog which has some time dated material in it.

I can’t seem to access the blog jubilasingers.com.au since I had my domains mapped to it.

Both my secondary and primary blog are currently private until I finish them.

I can access each page via the dashboard through my secondary blog – but can’t see the site as a whole.

I invited someone with a wordpress account/blog and she CAN see the whole site. When I invited myself – I couldn’t.

Sacredpath said that he’d tag this question ( the issue started last week) for staff but I’m getting anxious about not being able to work on it much in the meantime.

    Thankyou.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Well, you have the site set to private which means the public cannot see it.

That said, it can take anywhere from a few hours to as much as 72 for the custom domain name to be registered with all the internet name servers around the world although it is typically less than 24. There is nothing that can be done to speed this up as it is not something that is in your control, nor the control of wordpress. How soon people will be able to see it is entirely dependent on how often their ISP updates their nameservers. Some do it continually and many times per day and some only about every 24 hours or so.

I’m getting directed to the login screen for your site (since it is set to private) so that means the propagation in under way. You just have to be patient.

I must not have made myself clear at all.

The domain mapping process has been done and completed successfully last week.

All is fine except one thing.

It is me who can’t see my primary blog in its entirety.

Other WordPress bloggers who have been invited by me to see it can.

It’s me who gets the message that I can’t enter the site because it’s private – even though it’s me who has the username and password.

Not sure how else to explain it.

Why doesn’t WP allow me to enter my own site with my own username and password?

jubilajane: this is a duplicate thread (also here) so I am going to close it. Unfortunately, the previous thread was tagged “molook” (rather than “modlook”) so it did not show up for us. Sorry about the delay in response!
