Not again…update stalls. :o(

I am hosting my own blog at http://bettina.loehmann.dk (Danish language) and ever so often I experience problems with updatting both plugins and my theme. Now it happened again. :o( When trying to update the iPhone plugin the page where the srarus should be shown just kept showing me a blank page and now my site and all admin pages say: “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.” in the browser. :o(
What now – do I have to revert to my backup or what??? Is this because I am using the always newest version of Firefox?? It happens regularly, I even have not been able to update to the latest version of WP of the exact same reason, the stauts page for the update stalls and does not show me the progress so after quite some time I refresh the page or something and move along because I can see that it has happened again. :o(
