Not all of my emoticons are working…
-
It is really strange as this has been happening for a while so I thought well it is new let you guys work out the problem. Unfortunately it is still happening so assume there is a real problem.
The really strange thing is that the same emoticons in the same post are working but some aren’t…mmmmm

Thanks in advance

Here is the support doc on which smilies are supported by the post editor: http://en.support.wordpress.com/smilies/
The first and second ones on the post you provided seem fine, but try adding a space or a hyphen between the colon and the other character. With the third one, use a lower-case “o” for the mouth instead of uppercase.

Nope still not working…. what is strange is that I use the same characters but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t… :/

Hi there!
I recognize the issue and I’ve reported it to our developer team. I’ll get back to you when I receive updates. Thanks for your patience!

Hey there Kriss!
This stumped us for quite a bit! The good news is, we found that the spaces surrounding your smilies were causing them not to convert correctly. This was easily corrected by deleting the smileys and the space surrounding them, then re-typing each. If you check your blog post now, all the smileys are rendering:

On a side note, can you tell me if you wrote your posts directly inside the post editor or were you composing them in a word processing software?
Thank you!

I used the post editor….
Ok what do you mean about the spaces around them… ie what am I doing wrong?
Thank you guys!
Kriss :)

I think I have worked out what you mean… one space at the front and one at the back… :D Will have to remember that now…
