Not all themes are available to me- why?
-
I signed up for wordpress via a one-click installer on DreamHost.
I have been attempting to find a customizable, attractive theme for my new site, but the “over 100” themes that wordpress claims to offer are, for some reason, not available to me. Why? I am hoping to, at minimum, have a custom header; the 20 or so themes offered in my dropdown list on my dashboard are not customizable.
If this is an issue regarding .org vs .com … how can I switch over to a .org account so I can actually customize a site?
Thanks in advance for any help

Your self-hosted blog on DreamHost is completely separate and not connected with wordpress.COM. With a self-hosted blog, you have to install your own themes. Go to appearance in your dashboard and to “add new,” find the theme you want to use or try and install it.
The correct forum for self-hosted blogs though is at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as the supportbot says, so you need to seek help with your self-hosted installation over there.
