Not Allowed

    I’m trying to update a page on my site, and originally I kept getting an error message that it couldn’t update because I was “not allowed to edit this post” so I scrapped it and redid it from scratch. That message came up again while I was formatting, but then went away and updated the draft just fine. Now it’s telling me that I am not allowed to post?? Then who is? And what do I do?

    Hi there – When was the last time you logged out, restarted your web browser, and then logged back in again? If it’s been a while, I recommend doing that.

    What might be happening is the browser session you have going on between your site and being logged in could be broken, so it no longer sees you as logged in even though you are viewing admin pages.

    Secondly, when you run into issues like that, make sure you check to see how many tabs or windows you have open and showing areas of your admin.
