Not allowing links

I have been trying to add links into a post and each time I click the button, it redirects me back to my dashboard without applying the link. Is this a temporary wordpress problem? I’ve never had an issue before.

I sounds like you need to try some browser troubleshooting. If your browser version is outdated you can upgrade any browser here. -

1. Please provide an active link to the blog in question starting with http://
2. Please state what operating system you have and whether or not it has been recently updated.
3.Please do the same with regard to any security and/or firewalls updates you have had recently.
4.Please be specific by telling us exactly which browser and version of it you are using.
5. Have you tried another browser? If so which one and which version?
6. You can use this link to see if your Flash is up to date. If it’s not up to date then this is where to download and install the latest version of Flash.
7. The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? -
I updated my flash and my browser is good….still not working and apparently, I’m not the only one having this issue since there is another discussion open about it.

If you are sure you have cleared your cache and cookies, your browser is up to date and your Flash is up to date, you have had no recent OS or security upgrades that could be interfering, and your ISP has no known issues, then I have run out of ideas, but perhaps another Volunteer may come up with a another one.

We did have a recent OS/Security upgrade. That might be interfering. Are we assuming correctly that we need to work with our system administrator for a solution?

I’m not Staff. I’m just a Volunteer. What I would do first is disable all browser add-ons and extensions see if that makes a difference. If it doesn’t then I would check to see if there are any known issues with the recent OS and/or security updates my computer has had. From there I would check for any known issue with my ISP. If all those were fruitless then I would file a support ticket with Staff.

I had that trouble last night in IE 9 – I switched to Google Chrome and the problem disappeared, so I would say a browser issue.

It is also interesting that I wasn’t the only one and certainly I think “something” changed! In fact, in IE my dashboard menu on the left keeps truncating off and on – all very odd.
