Not allowing me to post Google Adsense or Amazon on my account?

Every time I try to add Google Adsense or Amazon Ads…I copy and paste the Codes, then add a text widget to my sidebar. When I go paste the code I hit save…as soon as I hit save the code disappears and I am unable to show ads on my wordpress account. Can anyone help me? Is it because I have a theme that doesn’t allow them? (Winston Theme). Thank you, Jen.

The simple answer is you cannot tun Google Adsense here. No blogger initiated advertising is allowed on WordPress.COM hosted blogs. The only advertising program at WordPress.COM is called WordAds and it’s for blogs on their own domains.

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.
