NOT APPEARING IN SEARCHES!

    Even though I created what WordPress calls “static page” but is still identified as “blog” and paid for a “domain”, the page does not show AT ALL on Google or other searches, when I type its name or any other identifies. Instead, my other blog, which I deleted, pops up, and when I click on the link, the message “this blog is no longer available” appears. This is quite disappointing—in fact, the exact opposite to the objective of dealing with WordPress at all. Any thoughts?

    You have what looks like a one day old name – it takes search engines 4 to 6 weeks to index a new site – it also takes time for search engines to get used to a new name – since you deleted an old site and did not do a Site Redirect Upgrade to send traffic to your new site you are sort of stuck while search engines get used to the new name

    See below for tips on getting more traffic – also add some new content to your current site to tell search engines that you are alive
