NOT being able to change URL slug on my new blog website | Version 5.3
-
I am an admin on multiple WordPress sites. Recently, I started a new website https://www.buzzaround.in/. It has around 3 posts for now. The default permalink structure was set to ‘Plain’ as usual. One of my present URL is https://www.buzzaround.in/?p=87. When I intended to change my URL slug I couldn’t do that because the dialogue box named ‘URL SLUG’ under the ‘PERMALINK’ tab of the individual post is NOT SHOWING. The version is also the latest i.e 5.3. The other website I administer is also a 5.3 version and has the option of URL SLUG editor. But why it is not the same as with new website?? Why it is so? Please help me with the same.
I also want to add screenshots but there is no option here.

Hi @socialbabas, we actually don’t allow permalink editing for free/personal/premium sites on our servers. So I’m guessing you’re referring to a copy of WordPress that’s hosted with another provider.
Its settings will depend on your server and installation’s configuration, but as we are not admins on that site, and as it is not using our services, we recommend checking with your host, or asking in the correct forums for self-managed installations:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/Or, you’d be welcome to migrate your site to our services. You would need a Business or eCommerce plan to modify permalinks. You can find our pricing here:
