Not being able to disable infinite scroll on my blog

    Hello,
I am using the Adelle theme on my blog but can’t seem to be able to disable the infinite scroll feature. Tried on settings/writing, but even though it is marked as disabled the feature still shows up on my website and I strongly prefer to have them manually loaded. Could you please advise? Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Also: this is not the blog I need help with, it’s hellololla.wordpress.com

Adelle is a retired theme, but I don’t think that should make any difference. “Settings” “Writing” is indeed the correct place where you toggle the “Infinite scroll” button off (from blue to grey, I don’t find the difference all that clear) and save changes. Have you set the number of posts to display, higher up on the same page?

    Thank you for your answer.
Yes, I did these things. But apparently what I thought was “infinite scrolling” is just the new way WordPress loads its pages. I was hoping that it would open and load a different page, but looks like it’s not possible anymore.

I am about to transfer all my posts from Tumblr to WordPress, but my blog is very picture heavy and I fear that if someone starts browsing my archives the page will eventually become too slow. Is that a risk?

    Thanks again
