Not correct account

  This is not my correct account. I have a paid account and my site is thrivingat50plus.com. When entered that as my user name it claimed I didn’t exist. I also tried my email (email visible only to moderators and staff) and this unpaid site came up when mine is paid. How do I log in under my paid account? I also tried to log in via Google and that didn’t work either.

  Hi there, are you using thrivingat50plus.com/wp-admin to log in?

  If that isn’t working, your host may be able to help you make backups and use one of these recovery options:
  https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/

  As long as you can log into your hosting account, you should be able to regain access. If you need more help, head to to the forums for self-hosted sites at https://wordpress.org/support

  Here’s the difference between that and our services:
  https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

  Thanks. I don’t think I explained my problem clearly. Yes, I am using what you indicated to log in and it works to log in to my account. on my site thrivingat50plus.com. That is not the issue.

  The problem is that when I try to get support from WordPress and log in on the wordpress.com site, it doesn’t recognize thrivingat50plus.com/wp-admin. It says user not recognized. Though that is what I use to log into my WordPress site and get to my dashboard. The only thing it pulls up for me is an old WordPress account from 2008. I have a paid WordPress account as of 2020. I tried to log in under my email (email visible only to moderators and staff) but it didn’t recognize my password and I got a new one. It then pulled up my 2008 account and claimed I don’t have an account. Hoping that explains my problem and you can help.

  Your site thrivingat50plus.com is in no way connected to a WordPress.com account. That site uses the open source wordpress.org and is hosted at GoDaddy.

  @wendyama1 if it helps, you can find community support for your copy of WordPress at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ — though you will likely need to create an account there.
