Not enough spacing between photo and text
-
I can’t put enough space between my photos and text, especially when the photo is on the left-hand side of the page. My blog is: http://myitchytravelfeet.com/. I’ve searched the forum and have tried some of the solutions but I don’t know enough html for it to make sense. Thanks for helping a beginner!

Try this: in the edit window, click on the picture and then the tree icon. Under vertical space and horizontal space, enter a number (I use 5 or 10). That should put some space around the image.

Choose to edit the post with the picture. In the visual editor, click on the picture, and then on the photo-button (a small button with a tree, I believe).
That gives you options of horizontal space and vertical space. Set both to – for example – 10.
Save. -

Thanks Vivian and Boblets, but when I try that, it puts the image in the middle of the page with no text next to it.

Look at all of the fields in that screen. Note that there is a box on alignment – if you want it on the left, make sure you chose that.

Thanks, Vivian! That did it, although it only allows me to change the spacing to “5.” Must be part of the default design. Anyway, it looks so much better. I appreciate your help.

In the html window (should you ever be using that) the command to create that space is:
<align="left" hspace="5" vspace="5" border="0">
