not existing domain

Hi!
I used to have 2 accounts with wordpress – this one (Blog), and the other one (Website). The thing is that the second one was created by another person couple of years ago, and honestly I don’t know if he was paying for the year plan or not. I’ve tried to open my site today, but it shows me a non-existing domain and I was not able to access the dashboard either. Is it possible to check if the problem was with the payment or something else? The website was at the following link: catherinepopova.comThank you in advance,

According to whois.com, this domain is owned by a certain Barry Hackett. This domain exists but it’s linked to your catherinepopova.wordpress.com

Thanks @staartmees – I overlooked the domain mentioned, which looks to be hosted at BlueHost and not here at WordPressdotcom.

The domain catherinepopova.com is currently parked at Bluehost. You won’t be able to log in to it here on WordPressdotcom unless it is either mapped to a WordPressdotcom site like catherinepopova.wordpress.com or using the standalone WP (org) software and connected to WordPressdotcom through jetpack.
I’ve tagged this thread for Staff assistance as they can see if you had any past upgrades on this WordPressdotcom account. Please be patient for their reply.

The domain, catherinepopova.com, is not connected to WordPress.com in any way, and from what I can see it has never been connected here at all. There has never even been a Jetpack connection for that site, and this WordPress.com account also seems mostly inactive – your account logs show you reset the password every few months, but inbetween there’s nothing that happens on this account at all. The only site in your account, http://catherinepopova.wordpress.com/, hasn’t been active in four years.
As @justjennifer said, that domain is both registered and hosted with Bluehost, so you must have been using the self-hosted WordPress software with that site. Please contact Bluehost support and ask them about this. They’ll be able to help you get back into your hosting account with them, and might even still have a backup of your content which they might be able to restore.
