Not exporting all posts.

I hope I am not overlooking something here, but when I use the export feature, I get the xml file just fine. When I look at it though, I see just a few posts. Most of them are not visible. I do see links for the spam that was filtered out. Is there something in the way that I label my posts that is affecting this? Are the posts really there but I can’t see them? Help is appreciated.

Try deleteing all of your spam before exporting. If you can see them in teh *.xml file, then they’re not filtered out.
If you can’t see your posts then changes are they’re not all there. not sure what you’re using to look at the file or how your downloading it. What is the very last line within the *.xml file?

drmike, your comment “not sure what you’re using to look at the file” made me think I should try something else. I opened the file with Notepad instead of my xml editor and all the posts seem to be there. so, is this the happy conclusion I needed or is there something more I need to do?
The last line as copied from Notepad is:
<wp:menu_order>0</wp:menu_order><wp:post_type>post</wp:post_type>
</item></channel></rss>Thank you.
