Not Exporting WXR or XML

Hi there,
I have tried EVERY option there is to download this site but it is just not working… I go to Tools -Export and there are not options of what to export. I cannot contact support as I am using the free builder. When it does download a zip file, I get an error that the format is wrong and cannot be uploaded…
I am so frustrated that I am ready to pull my hair out! I have a new WP account that I want to use on my hosted domain, and the joke is that I cannot find the same theme on the new WP site…

I can see this has been a really harrowing experience for you, and I am here to help you sort this out.
Just so I make sure I’m helping in the best way possible, are you trying to export all the content from splic3d008883013a-ptcab.wordpress.com to another site on WordPress.com or to an external host?
I noticed is that splic3d008883013a-ptcab.wordpress.com is currently using the free trial of the AI builder. When a site is in the AI builder experience, most parts of the normal dashboard (including export tools) are not accessible.
Could you also let me know exactly how you’re downloading the export file right now, and if it is from the splic3d008883013a-ptcab.wordpress.com website?
If you’d like, I can turn off the AI builder for the site splic3d008883013a-ptcab.wordpress.com. This would restore your website dashboard, and allow access the normal export and import tools.Your site design and content will remain intact, but you would no longer be able to use the AI builder interface afterward.
If that sounds okay, please let me know and I can make that change for you right away so we can get the export working.

That would be AMAZING! I honestly did not realize it was on the AI Builder. Please could you change it?

I can understand why that’s frustrating. Sometimes the Export option only shows limited choices, especially on free plans, and the file you download may only include content (posts, pages, media references) rather than the full theme or design. That’s why the ZIP file might not upload correctly on the new site.
You could try going to Tools → Export → All Content, download the XML file, and then on your new WordPress site use Tools → Import → WordPress to upload it. Also keep in mind that themes from the original site may not always be available on another WordPress setup, especially if they were part of a specific builder or free plan.
If the theme isn’t available anymore, you may need to choose a similar theme and then import your content into it. That usually works better than trying to move the entire site exactly as it is.
