  Can’t get rid of the Not found, sorry what you’re looking for isn’t here. Tried a post which is supposed to go to the home page but it didn’t work. Sorry for the confusion. Would be fine if I could just replace Not found with my text.

  The reason you are getting that error is because you don’t have any “posts” on the main page. What you created is a “page”. If you want that “Welcome” post always on the main page, go to your Admin => Options => Reading and in the dropdown for the static page, choose the Welcome page. If you want that to be your first post and then have newer show up after it, don’t create a “page”, but rather a “post” with the same name and information.
