"Not Found" message showing up when blog post link clicked from social med sites

  When my facebook fans for Twitter followers click on the shared link, they get a “Not Found” message once they get to my blog. Similarly, I can see my post fine, but when I try to manually share it via FB or Twitter, I get the “Not Found” message. This has never happened before. I also cleared cookies and caches, and I used three different browsers to see if that made a difference. Nothing worked. thanks!

  Hi there,

  I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues with our sharing feature.

  I’m not sure if I fully understand the issues you are experiencing. When I go to your blog and try sharing one of your posts, it works like it should. Alternately, when I go to your Facebook page and click on one of your blog links, it brings me right to your blog.

  So that I can better assist you, could you please describe in more detail the steps you’re taking that give you the error message? Even better, can you take a screenshot of the error message and upload that image to your media library so I can see it?

  All of my other fb links to my blog have worked fine. This is the first time this has happened. I took this link off my fb page because my fans were sending commenting that they were getting the ‘not found’ message. I’ve taken a screen shot of the page they get when the click on the link from either their email (for email subscribers) or from FB or Twitter. The image is in Media Library. Also, I don’t know if it matters, but I manage my page via wordpress.org nor wordpress.com Thanks!!

  Hi again,

  Because the site in question is self-hosted with a different provider, rather than WordPress.com, I do not have access to your site’s files and have only limited ability to provide support for your current issue.

  From looking at your site’s source code, it appears you have the Facebook Like Button Plugin installed, as well as Jetpack. You might try deactivated the Facebook plugin and try using the Jetpack option instead to see if that resolves the issue.
