  Simple question: looking bemusedly at my blog’s Stats, what is a visit and what is a view?

  Hello Steve,

  A view is counted when a visitor loads or reloads a page. A visitor is counted when we see a user or browser for the first time in a given period (day, week, month).

  You can learn more about the details of your Stats, here: support.wordpress.com/stats

  I hope it helps to understand your blog’s traffic better.

  Thanks, Gina. That makes it clear.

  So, I might have 50 visitors who between them might have made 98 views of my posts, for example.
