Not getting comments reflected answered through webmail
-
Hi all,
I have put up so that all comments come to my gmail account. When the comment comes, it comes straight to my filter and I try to reply it through webmail. When accessing the webpost for the same to see if the reply got reflected therein it isn’t there. Does it take lot of time-lag for the reply to reach? If yes, how much of a time should there be for the reply to reach wordpress.com and specifically the post mentioned therein. If not then what should I be looking at .One thing more though. I do delete some specific info. which I feel perhaps is not required when replying.
New comment on your post “Cisco and GPL “
Author : some person (IP: 92.24.250.202 , 92.24.250.202)

I deleted the above stuff and replied to the comment therein.

It shouldn’t. I just tested it on a demo blog and my reply by email appeared about a minute after sending.
When you are replying to the comments are you removing information from the quoted portion? If so, can you try replying without removing any information from the original comment?
If you just press “reply” and then enter the text you’d like to reply with that should post it directly to your blog.
