not getting email notifications

  I am not receiving e-mail notifications of any sort about either of my sites, though I have notifications set up in the Discussion Settings on each site and a notification e-mail address given through my WordPress.com account. I have Akismet installed and am using the Contact Form through Jetpack, but Jetpack doesn’t send me any notifications, either. In short, I don’t know if there’s any activity on my sites until I check them. What am I doing wrong?

  I checked http://www.femmeliterate.net/ and I found that site is setup using WordPress software, but it is not hosted here at WordPress.com. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ to learn about the differences.

  Because of the way your site is setup, WordPress.com is not the right place for you to get help, however, I can try to help you with some ideas and try to get you moving in the right direction.
