Not getting what I’m seeing in draft re: images and text

Hi all,
Working for hours on my third post–It is image-heavy with some text in-between, but once I have it “formatted” the way I want it in draft, the text and images go all wonky in preview, ie, the text which is supposed to be below two images inserts itself between them. The image alignment function isn’t helping and I’ve deleted and re-inserted images numerous times. I’ve also tried working in three different themes to see if that helps, and although some allow for more horizontal space, they all change formatting between my draft and preview. Any suggestions?

The Write Post box is not the same width as the blog, so previewing based on what it looks like there is not going to help you. Preview is what the user will actually see. Always format with Preview in mind, not how it looks while you’re writing it.
I, personally, generally center images, just to keep things really simple.
