Not Logged In with Domain Mapping
-
I just purchased a custom domain name through wordpress. That’s working fine, and it’s nice for visitors to see the simpler url without the .wordpress suffix.
The problem I’m having is that when I’m logged in, if I go to my site with new url, I don’t appear to be logged in. And I don’t see the wordpress menu bar (with “my account”, “my dashboards,” etc). This means that I can’t be working in my dashboard and then click to check something on the site and then go back to the dashboard. When I go to the site I appear to be logged out. I have several other test blogs, all with standard urls that end in .wordpress.com and they all work normally.
What’s even stranger is that this is only true in Firefox (mac). If I’m using Safari, when I log in, I’m logged in, and it doesn’t matter where I am.
Does anybody have any idea why this is happening?
Thanks very much,
SteveThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is starting to drive me crazy. I can’t leave comments on my own pages. I can’t edit pages from the home page (only from the dashboard).
Does anybody have any ideas?
I’ve cleared wordpress cookies — no change.

You may need to try clearing the browser cookies for your custom domain in addition to *.wordpress.com ones.
If this happens again, please try:
– clear cookies for all wordpress.com domains and your custom domain
– shut down your browser and restartYou may want to check for Firefox addons that could be interfering with your login status.
