Not possible to EDIT anymore, etc.

To clarify, Annotum was (at the time) a bit different from other WordPress.com themes we offered in that it has a special section called “articles” that was separate from the usual “blog posts” section of your admin dashboard.
In this case you actually have nothing to worry about in switching themes, as you are not actually using the “articles” feature of this theme. You can confirm here: https://gustmees.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=article
The message you are seeing that is warning you about “making your scholarly articles invisible” is a generic warning, and not related to your specific content.
With this in mind you are welcome to switch to another theme, and you will not suffer any missing content issues. Hope this helps!

I wanted to add here that if you are going to switch themes, I recommend starting from this page rather than the wp-admin interface.
https://wordpress.com/themes/free/gustmees.wordpress.com
This way you can see a list of only our free themes (for-pay themes are filtered out) and also if you click the button to get more info about the theme, it takes you to a page with more info that you would see in wp-admin.

Hi :-)
Thanks for the quick reply! Any suggestions for THEMES which could fit with +/- the same frames/design?
Thanks

Because your theme is pretty unique (at the time it was released as well as today) I can’t think of a specific theme that looks like the one you are using now. So with that in mind it may be time to consider updating and freshening up the look of your site.
Although not exactly the same, I think this theme would work well with your current content: https://wordpress.com/theme/twentyfourteen/gustmees.wordpress.com
I also thought these would work nicely:
– https://wordpress.com/theme/hemingway-rewritten/gustmees.wordpress.com
– https://wordpress.com/theme/franklin/gustmees.wordpress.comHope this helps!

Hi :-)
Thanks a lot for your expertise! YES, I had a look around and the THEME <===> https://wordpress.com/theme/twentyfourteen/gustmees.wordpress.com <===> was my favorite before your post already…
BUT: The main column width is 474 while I used a width of 600 for ALL of my images from the gallery, should I (after switching for a
the new THEME) change ALL of my blog posts images to a smaller width??? There are +/- 280 blog posts already, I would have work for a whole year then to do that ;-)Thanks
-
If your images are set to a wider width than the new theme’s content area, they’ll automatically be resized to fit the new theme. You shouldn’t need to edit anything manually :)

Hi :-)
I tried some out and finally I opted for the “Choco THEME” which gives me BEST results for the images, photos ===> bigger displaying!
Thank you ALL for your patience and help!
Greetings
