Not posting to facebook

I didnt change anything.
My blogs now dont post to facebook , but they used to.
When i check the sharing options in settings , there is an option to disc onnect from facebook.
when i start a new post , it says all this on thr right hand side!Publicize: Yahoo! Updates, Twitter, Facebook Edit

when i click that authorize connection with facebook ( even though on wordpress end , it seems already connected ) , it does nothing.
I can only assujme facebook , having changed stuff YET AGAIN , has messed this up.
Any ideas how to fix it so it works just the way it did a few weeks ago ??Thanks in advance

When following the reconnecting instructions step 3 (removing the FB app) is probably the most important step. -
but it was all already connected. Ive posted loads of things and they showed up immediately on facebook. I didnt change anything and now they aren’t posting to facebook. I dont understand what you guys are saying , sorry

Nothing is frozen in time. Everything changes. The fact that you changed nothing does not mean that there have not been changes at Facebook’s end. What we do know is that completely disconnecting step 3 (removing the FB app) is probably the most important step, and when that is done and reconnection process is followed and a connection is established is that the process usually works. Please try it.

when i click the link , it doesnt go to facebook. It redirects me to the dashboard where it shows stats graph and comments etc….

Are you sharing to a page-only Facebook account or an account with an actual profile and a page?

I am having the same trouble. I will try the tips given above AGAIN! I did it once with no change, but will try again. Items posted before no problem, but not now even though it seems to take the edit to connect to facebook. I even do the authorization step but that does not take me anywhere useful. I have a profile on facebook, and it uses the same email as I use at wordpress. I am flumoxed.

I would avoid using Publicize entirely and switch to something like Networked Blogs. It seems to be more reliable.

You can use Networked Blogs http://www.networkedblogs.com/ or RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti for posting to Facebook walls if you prefer.
RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify.
You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.

no offence Timethief but after trying both of those , neither of them is what i need. I just need the wordpress / facebook publish thing to work without having to set up 3rd party apps.
I tried them both and they are more complicated and involved than i need or would like. I like to keep things simple…….less stress that way =) -

Then you can use link to contact them http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.
