Not Publicizing to Facebook

Add topic to favorites
Has anyone else noticed that WordPress is not publicizing anything to Facebook even after disconnecting and reconnecting SEVERAL times and it says that it is connected? Has anyone figured out how to fix this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes, I’ve just noticed, but I’m new here and don’t have a clue about how to fix it.

I’m having the same problem. It worked fine when I initially set it up, but the last few times, it hasn’t worked. I also disconnected and reconnected and it still doesn’t work. Sharing on Twitter works fine, though.

Does anyone have a solution?

Ya same here, posts to Twitter just fine. I have also personally emailed the WordPress support team directly a couple of times about it with no response. Even a simple “we know this is a problem with many members and we’re working on it diligently” would have been sufficient.

I suppose that I should retract my previous post. I just went over to Facebook and saw that yesterday’s blog post *did* finally show up on my wall.

It just took a few hours.

I don’t know what’s normal because, again, I’m new here.

definitely strange, this has been happening to me the last month. It was originally posting instantaneously for months but then one day out of the blue it disconnected itself, I reconnected it then it just simply stopped working regardless of what I did to try and rectify.

Well temporarily I have linked my blog with Twitter then linked my Twitter with Facebook.

This I found is the easiest thing to do until they have resolved this.

Are you trying to public to your personal Facebook wall or a Facebook page?
Please try the full reconnect procedure detailed at http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook including step 3 (removing the FB app), which is probably the most important step.

to my profile and yes each time I reconnected I ensured all the steps in that link were completed…..still made no difference.

That’s frustrating. I’ve flagged this thread for Staff attention. Please be patient while waiting for them to respond.

ok now it posts to my Facebook profile but doesn’t show up in the news feed and it is not emailing the subscribers to my blog about my new posts.

We’re aware of an issue affecting some users publicizing to a Facebook page. We’re starting to put the pieces together and we’re getting close to a fix.
