Not ready to commit

I was simply looking for more information on using Wordpad, and suddenly I am getting asked to pay for a year’s service. I am not going to start up my actual until later. Please cancel my account. When I am ready and I have more information, I will sign up with you.

Hi there,
You are posting in the support forums for the web hosting provider, WordPress.com.
It is completely free to have a WordPress.com account, and it is also completely free to host a site with us, like the free site, https://blessedinbowie.wordpress.com/, which you’ve already created in this account.
The only time you’ll be charged for anything is if you decide to add a paid upgrade to that site. If you’re seeing a notice that you have unpaid upgrades waiting, you’re seeing that because at some point you added a paid upgrade to your cart. If you don’t want that, just click on that notice, and remove the upgrades from the cart, and the notice will go away.
If you’re sure you don’t want this account, you can delete it from the account settings page. But note that doing that will completely and permanently disable your
blessedinbowieusername and the matching site address, and you won’t be able to use the same username again should you later sign up for another account. You can find the account settings page at https://wordpress.com/me/account
