Not really a big problem. Just curious
-
I’m curious about how the “tags” section in the WordPress Reader works, and how I can best use my own tags and categories to get my blog posts to show up in the Reader. For instance, this morning I published a post. The post had four categories and eight tags. I have so far looked under all of the tags and categories in the Reader that I used in my post. My post showed up in the Reader under one of the categories of my post, no more, and none of the tags. In other words, my post got very little publicity in the Reader. I’m wondering why it got so little publicity and how I can best correct this. Any suggestions?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m not having trouble with any particular post. I’m just wondering if there is any way I can get more of my tags and categories to show up in the WordPress Reader. For the last two of my posts, I’ve watched to see which of the categories and tags for that post show up in the Reader. For each of the two posts, only one category and one tag have been published in the Reader. That’s not much publicity. And as I said earlier, I had only a few tags and categories, less than five total, attached to each post. So again, I’m just wondering if there is any way I can get more of my tags and categories for a post published in the Reader other than just one tag and one category.

Your post should be published in every tag and category you include, as long as there isn’t another reason for your posts to not be displayed in the Reader.
Sometimes it can take a little while for the tags to update fully, but your posts should appear there. If you want me to take a closer look, I’ll need a specific post to look at. :)

I’ve been here nine years and I don’t think I’ve had a click from a WP.com tag page in five years. I wouldn’t worry about it, really.

@shawnaroberts
Truthfully, I think it had something to do with the theme I was using. I changed themes, and with my last post (my first post with the new theme), I’m suddenly getting much better coverage in the Reader. I don’t know how that can be. All I know is what I see. Fingers crossed. -
