Not receiving acceptances to invitations to private site.

  I have not received the acceptance to a test invitation to a private WP site. As I have a very large number to invite, I do not want a massive failure at the launch of a new over 100 page site. The test was to an email address not previously used on WP owned by myself, I received the invite & accepted but have not received the acceptance back. It says “Waiting”. I have not used this facility before & may be doing something wrong or not at all. Can you please guide me?

  ALSO, when I click on Accept Invitation, I am connected to the sites Dashboard. Surely this is not correct for the viewers to get into the important controls for the site!

  Hi there,

  Can you let me know if “marg37” was the user profile you invited to become a viewer of your private blog? It appears as though they are the only viewer currently on your site. I’m not seeing a “Waiting” indication by that username. Also, when I login under that user account, I cannot access your Dashboard. Viewers should not be able to access your Dashboard, only see your site. Perhaps you saw your Dashboard because you were also logged in under your admin account?
