Not receiving comment notification e-mails

I logged on and glanced at my notifications and realized that I had several unread comments on my blog posts. I have it set up for me to receive e-mail notifications when I receive a comment, but my inbox was completely empty. I checked my spam filter and I double-checked that the e-mail notifications were turned on. Any idea what could have happened? Thanks!

And just a clarification, I’m still getting notifications if someone likes my post or follows my blog. It’s only the comment notifications that don’t seem to be working.

Maybe some tweaking is going on with the comments emails.
I have just got two emails, each in different formats, for the same comment made on my blog. This has happened once before, when the follow comments box was automatically ticked for everyone.

Hi gtroxel – we’ve made some changes to the comment notification system that may have affected delivery of certain messages. Would you keep an eye on things in the next day or so and let us know if you continue to have any issues? Apologies for the inconvenience.
