Not receiving Confirmation Email
-
Hi there!
I am not receiving my Confirmation Email for my account. I have tried multiple times, and I have checked all inboxes. The E-mail is simply not reaching my Mailbox. If I try to change my e-mailadress in my settings, it gives an error: ‘There was a problem saving your changes’.
I think these 2 problems have nothing to do with eachother?
Anyway, I can’t do anything about my Articles and Plugins without confirming the email…Greetings,
Casper Sterrenburg

Check in your email spam filter and under your “social” tab in your Gmail account please, if you use it. https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/gmail-issues/
If you do not find it then be patient while waiting for Staff to return to this thread and help you.

There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/See here for a full comparison WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/There is no upgrade you can purchase here that provides FTP access and the ability to install plugins and or any third party themes https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/#uploading-custom-themes on blogs hosted by WordPress.COM like http://caspersterrenburg.wordpress.com/

Ahh I see…
Dumb I didn’t thought of that before making a site.
I want to have the ability to add Plugins and own Themes. Which means I will have to use WordPress.ORG, thanks for pointing that out for me!
Making an account is not needed for .org, as far as I can see. Which means this Topic can be closed :)Thanks for helping,

@casperster18
I have manually activated your account for you in any case.If you don’t mind, I’d also like to know which plugins you want to use on your site. Perhaps we already offer that functionality, or else you might highlight something we could consider adding in future. Thanks :)

The main thing I wanted to be able to was installing a Drag-N-Drop Editor. Unyson Framework for example. And also some little plugins for showing Team Cards, slideshow banners etc.
I guess that is impossible to install on WordPress.com right?
Anyway, thanks for activating :)Greetings,

Installing any plugins on WordPress.com is not possible, no, and with the exception of featured content sliders on some themes, and the slideshow option for image galleries, we don’t have those features built-in either.
There’s no option for a drag-n-drop theme editor and it’s unlikely we’ll introduce something like that any time soon, if at all, so if that’s an important feature for you, a self-hosted site is the only option. However, you’re always welcome here should your needs change in future :)
