Not receiving contact form emails

I am not receiving contact forms anymore. How do I solve this, and why does the email need to be associated with the website domain?

Hi there,
I see you need some assistance with contact form submissions and domain email and I am here to take a closer look at things to assist you.
If you’re not receiving contact form submissions, it’s usually due to email deliverability issues, form configuration or hosting problems, or spam filters. Many email providers flag messages sent from a form on your website as spam if the email address used is not associated with your website’s domain.
For example, if your domain is
example.com, it’s best to use an email like(email visible only to moderators and staff)rather than a personal email like Gmail. That been said, please note that using a domain-based email improves deliverability and ensures the messages are trusted by email servers, reducing the likelihood of submissions being blocked or marked as spam.
To resolve this, first verify that the email address used in your contact form matches your website domain.
Check your spam or junk folder to see if messages are being redirected.
I would also like to point out that while you have an account with us on WordPress.com, you do not currently have an active site. You are welcome to reach out if you’d like to create a new site or migrate an existing one to WordPress.com, as we would be happy to have you.Looking forward to your response!
