I have the same problem as Shirley. Since August 17 around noon I have not received any confirmation of comments. It has been working properly for years. Sometimes I have as many as 60 comments a day. This is really an inconvenience. Please help

I’m having the same problem. I am not receiving my confirmation email for my new blog. rcsgrade3adventures.wordpress.com. I clicked the send confirmation email multiple times over the past 24 hours. Thanks! :)

@esbalogh — I see you recently chatted with Dustin about this issue. The issue you’re having is different from the one in this forum thread. As Dustin mentioned, you’ll need to get in touch with your host (Hostgator) for more assistance with your site hungarianspectrum.org.

I’m sorry but Dustin was simply wrong. I checked with Hostgator which has nothing to do with e-mail notifications. It is simply a dumb server. All the settings concerning e-mail confirmation is on WordPress and if someone else would be responsible for these confirmations then it would superfluous of WordPress asking us whether we want or don’t want to receive confirmation of comments.

Hi Eva (esbalogh), if Hostgator isn’t able to help you with those email notifications, you’ll need to head to the WordPress.org forums for more help with that on your self-hosted site. (You will need to register a new account on WordPress.org to post in those forums, if you haven’t already.) You can also refer to the support documentation for comment settings on self-hosted WordPress sites:

Steven. Are you the owner of a self-hosted site? Hungarian Spectrum is through Hostgater. Do you receive notification when your site receive new user registation? I do, those useless things go through but no notification of comments.
