Not receiving email notification of comments

I haven’t changed any of my settings, but yesterday, I stopped receiving email notification of comments. There were 15 comments in my post dated 12/2, 13 in the one dated 12/3, and 2 in the one dated 12/4 (the blog is on greenwich time). I haven’t gotten notifications for any of them. Please don’t tell me to contact support. I emailed them 3 times in the last week for a totally different problem, and I still haven’t heard back anything. I figured my best bet was to post here. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

I don’t know what you mean by best bet. We are Volunteers and do not have backend access to blogs. We cannot help you — only Staff can.

And if you’re still adamant about not contacting staff, just in case, you might want to check your settings under Settings > Discussion > Email me whenever…

I didn’t mean to sound ungrateful. I’m a little under the weather, and I apologize if I sounded whiny. I’m not adamant about not contacting staff, I’m just saying that I did so 3 times in the last week, and I never got a response. I’ve asked questions here before, and I’ve gotten the answers I needed. I appreciate help from anyone, whether they be staff or a volunteer.
I did check and double-check my settings, and nothing has changed. All the commenters except one comment on a regular basis, and I haven’t had to approve any comments in several weeks.
One other tantalizing tidbit–I did receive notification yesterday that someone “liked” a post (though I didn’t get a notification when a second person did), but when the same person “liked” tonight’s post, I didn’t get any notification. Nor did I get a notification when a second person “liked” the post tonight.

Check the spam filter at your email ISP and make sure they aren’t getting caught there. Sometimes overactive spam filters will catch WP emails. If they are, you might have to “whitelist” the email address that the emails come from.

That’s not it either. There’s nothing in my spam filter. I use that email account primarily for WordPress, so there hasn’t been spam in months.

I sent 3 emails to support this past week about another problem, and I never received a response. Now, I am starting to wonder if the same problem preventing my getting notifications is preventing me from receiving responses from support. I remember writing to them a long time ago, and they responded quickly. If that’s the case, I don’t know what to do, and I have no idea how to check.

I’ll tag this thread for staff attention, but I have no idea when or if they will see it and respond.
