Not receiving email notifications for comments posted on blog

Hello,
Mine had also stopped again. This time it was for three days so I went back to checking the blog for comments so I could answer them.After the three days, the comments starting appearing in my e-mail including the new ones and old ones from those three days when they hadn’t appeared. The problem seems to have been fixed.

Hi Stef – Awesome! Comcast had blocked our emails again (I don’t know why), but our systems team contacted them and they unblocked it.

I am having the same problem, not receiving notifications for my blog. I do receive notifications of new posts and comments for other blogs. Would it be possible for Comcast to allow those but not email notifications for my blog? I use Windows Live for POP3 and do not use Comcast webmail. I did go online but did not see anything for an approved list.
The blog I need help with is blackbutterfly7.wordpress.com. I’ve posted requests to support in two other places because until today, I found comments closed on all forums regarding this matter. It is really frustrating because when other bloggers leave a “like” behind, I like visiting their blog and haven’t been able to do that because I am not receiving those notifications either.
How can I receive notifications for new posts and comments for other blogs, but not my own, when the same email address is used?

Think I figured it out because I’m now getting notifications for comments and likes.
I went to Comcast webmail and entered *wordpress.com into the address book and the URL to my blog as the website.

Oops. I may have spoken too soon. I just took a look on the Admin side for comments and I have not received notification for the most recent ones. I did, however, receive notification of a re-blog.

@blackbutterfly768, it looks like you have the following setting for the blog at blackbutterfly7.wordpress.com:
You get instant post emails and no comment emails for this blog
So you should be getting emails for all new posts but not for comments. You can modify that if you wish at http://wordpress.com/following/edit/
At https://wordpress.com/settings/notifications/ you do not have email notifications turned on when someone Likes one of your comments, but you can enable that as well if you’d like.

Thanks for your help. I went to Comcast webmail and added *wordpress.com into the address book with the URL to my blog as the website. It seemed to take it awhile before I started receiving notification of new comments, but eventually that started. -

Hi @ yogaseema, I’d like to help you out but I’ll need a bit more information.
First of all, how did you become aware of this issue? Did your followers contact you directly?
Next, if you know who they are, please ask them to check their settings at http://wordpress.com/following/edit/ to make sure their settings reflect that they should be receiving notifications.
If they check and everything looks like they should be receiving notifications, and cannot, could you please ask them to post here, or provide their email address, so we can look into it for them?

Hi I’ve been having the same issue as the others and this is happening across 3 of my sites.
I’m becoming aware when I log in and see a comment on the sidebar in the dashboard but I’m not receiving any email notifications for any of my 2 sites and I’m about to launch a 3rd site, a business blog and am scared to miss them.
I have Google Apps email and have checked in the spam and nothing happens.

I’ve checked the box to email me whenever someone posts a comment and my user email matches the email in Settings/ General. And I also double checked on my WP.com that the block all email updates is unchecked.
Any help resolving this issue would be very helpful. I hate not being able to engage with my readers.

@thesofialife, I do not see any blogs hosted by WordPress.com under your thesofialife account. The sites you linked are not hosted with us but are instead hosted with another provider. Because they are not hosted with us, we do not have access to your sites or your settings, so I can’t verify that you should be receiving notifications.

I seem to be going through the same problem. About five days ago my email notificatons for comments just stopped coming to my email. All my settings are correct. I use a hotmail account for email.

I am receiving comments in Jetpack, just not email anymore. Any help you can offer will be appreciated!

@filbio you may wish to check your Discussion settings to see if you have the box checked to receive notifications of comments by email. If that is still enabled, my best recommendation is to check to make sure the emails aren’t going to spam.
Since your site is not hosted with us, however, I can’t access your site’s settings, and as such don’t have a way to troubleshoot this further.
