I am on my 5th or 6th hour and need help! A third party developed my WP site (escrowmint.com) I could not change his email to my own since I did not receive an email verification. I was able to force the change through http://www.escrowmint.com/wp-admin/options.php but I still do not receive any emails from Word Press or my website. I contacted my host (AWS) a week ago who did not respond. I contacted customer support for gmail which I have my email through but they were not helpful either. I am not sure what the solution is. I’m sorry you’re having trouble with this.
However, it looks like your site, escrowmint.com, is using a self-hosted WordPress.org setup. Note the difference: WordPress.com and WordPress.org
