Not receiving emails from my contact us page

    Hello,

I have a simple contact form on a page but can not get it to send me an email after someone fills it out. Please let me know what could be causing this.

    Contact – Bravo Restaurant

    Thanks,

    Ed

The most common reason your contact form isn’t sending emails is that your website’s email address isn’t properly set. The form uses your site’s admin email to send messages, and if that isn’t configured correctly, the emails get lost.

To fix it, check your site’s main email address. Go to your WordPress.com dashboard and click on Settings > General. Look for the “Administration Email Address” field. Make sure this is an email address you own and check regularly (like your Gmail). Save any changes.

Then, check for a confirmation email. If you just changed this email, WordPress.com might have sent a confirmation link to that address. You must click that link to activate it before the forms will work.

If that doesn’t solve it, the problem might be that the form emails are being marked as spam. Check your email’s spam or junk folder.

To fix this for the future, you can use a SMTP plugin which helps your site send emails more reliably. On WordPress.com, you may need a higher plan (like the Business plan) to install this kind of plugin.

If you’re still having trouble, the best step is to contact WordPress.com Support directly from your dashboard. They can check the server logs and tell you exactly why the emails aren’t going through.

Hi there @ekolinek, the site you mentioned bravonh.com doesn’t appear to be hosted here on WordPress.com, the hosting provider.

Depending on the plugin you are using for that form you’ll want to post to the plugin author’s support forum. If you are using CoBlocks, https://wordpress.org/plugins/coblocks/

Just to clarify, these support forums assist site owners of free websites hosted by WordPress.com. Not sure of the difference? This guide helps explain https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

@mehrazmorshed Thanks for the assist. ICYMI we have a detailed guide to volunteering in the WordPress.com community forums that you’ll find useful https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-com-volunteers/

    Hello there, @ekolinek!

Like justjennifer mentioned, I took a quick look at your site and noticed it’s actually a self-hosted WordPress.org site, not hosted on WordPress.com, as shown here:

    https://wordpress.com/site-profiler/bravonh.com

What I recommend doing now is asking your question on the WordPress.org community forums at this link:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/

That forum is a great place for sites like yours that use WordPress software but aren’t hosted with WordPress.com. If you’re interested in understanding the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, this guide explains it quite well:
