Not Receiving Emails from WordPress.com Forums

Hello all.
In the past, I would receive emails if I was subscribed to a topic.
However, recently I noticed that these emails are not coming through.

Have you been able to check your spam folders to make sure some notifications weren’t accidentally filtered by your email service provider?
I imagine that you are referring to replies for forum threads like this one?
Can you see when was the last time you received an email notification and maybe let us know since when this issue started?
As an alternative to your email notifications, you can also view your notifications on your account (https://wordpress.com/me) by clicking on the bell icon in the bottom left, or by clicking that same icon on the top-right, as seen in this section of our support guide:

No email notifications for subscribed forum threads has been an ongoing issue for months affecting a number of users (at least those that mention it in their forum replies).
I frequently check my own replies and the subscription tab in my forum Profile, but it’s not a substitute for being pinged by email when I’m not on the forums.

Hello.
I hadn’t used WordPress in a while.
The last time I had used it and received a forum reply email was July 18 of last year.

And although I subscribed to this thread following my above post, I did not receive email notification of @storygenie5 ‘s reply 6 hours ago.

For the time being, I have been bookmarking pages of threads I’m participating in so I can check back for replies.
However, I feel it would be more convenient if I still received email notifications.

When you say “bookmarking”, do you mean you’ve added each forum thread to your browser’s bookmarks? If so, there is an easier way to see new replies.
If you’ve replied to a forum thread, that thread will appear in your forum profile under “Replies created”. That tab is available even when you are not logged in to WordPress.com

The problem could also be with your emailprovider who simply blocks emails from certain domains and they aren’t even delivered in your Spam box; they just vanish in thin air.

If every person posting to the forums is also automatically subscribed to their forum thread, in addition to us volunteers subscribing to forum threads, that’s a huge number of emails that have gone missing. Maybe wordpress.com has been blacklisted by ISPs?

We checked our logs to see if we are sending emails out to your address and there seems to be some emails from WordPress.com being sent out as of two weeks ago.
For the time being, I have been bookmarking pages of threads I’m participating in so I can check back for replies.
I’m glad to hear that you were able to have a workaround for this at the moment.
If you are subscribed to this post already and have already enabled “Notify me of new replies”, there are a few other things you can try:
– Please check the Updates folder in Gmail as well, and also Spam. Also try searching Gmail directly for “WordPress.com Forums”
– Besides using the bell icon the top-right corner, you can also enable browser notifications which will allow your browser to alert you when there is a new notification related to WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/notifications/browser-notifications/ -
Hello.
I checked the updates folder, and the forum emails are not showing up.
However, I have been able to receive other emails from WordPress.

If you have also checked your Gmail inbox to make sure that a filter wasn’t applied for those forum thread emails, can you try to disable the option “Notify me of new replies” replying and then enable the option back again?
You can also try to unsubscribe to the thread and subscribe to it again to see if it triggers anything.
