not receiving incoming (hosted on hover) emails

    I just pointed my hover domain to wordpress, and after a little bit the custom domain now loads my wordpress site. No issue there.

    Where I am stuck is that I no longer receive email to the inbox (email is also at hover). I went to the Domains area and added the CNAME and MX records, I suspect this is where the issue lies, but usnure of how to proceed if/or I need to change anything else on Hover’s side.

    At present my Domains area of wordpress has:
    MX @ 1 0mx.hover.com.cust.hostedemail.com with priority 10
    CNAME mail mail.hover.com.cust.hostedemail.com

    what am I missing? (and thanks in advance for the help!)

    to be specific:
    So far all I’ve changed is adding records to the WordPress side
    I don’t get a bounceback, the email seems to vanish into a black hole.

    there was a portion of the mx record that I had entered incorrectly.
    It looked like :
    “10mx.hover”

    but! when editing the record that 10 is not part of the value it is the priority. this was not immidiately clear on their page until I was going back over my settings once again.
