Not receiving instant notifications of blogs

  • Unknown's avatar

I just checked my blog roll and my blog- rigzenchomo and my husband’s blog Zinc Comics are marked for instant delivery. I need this because I e-mail mine to a list and I reblog his. But neither were posted in today’s e-mail. So, I need this fixed ASAP.

Also, on repeated occasions I get messages that say I just liked my blog. I quit opening them because of the snide remark. But, I do not like my blog and have gotten the message when I’m not even on my blog. So, that’s a glitch that should be fixed.

But, my priority is being able to receive my instant blogs. This glitch makes me feel I may have missed some other of my few favorite blogs that are marked for instant delivery. Please correct.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi!

I just checked my blog roll and my blog- rigzenchomo and my husband’s blog Zinc Comics are marked for instant delivery. I need this because I e-mail mine to a list and I reblog his. But neither were posted in today’s e-mail. So, I need this fixed ASAP.

Our records show that the latest post on rigzenchomo.com was sent to your email on 2014-10-09. Can you let me know if the email eventually was delivered? Occasionally, it can take a few moments. Also, please check your spam folder to make sure it didn’t accidentally end up there.

I do not like my blog and have gotten the message when I’m not even on my blog. So, that’s a glitch that should be fixed.

Can you let me know the date of the last email you received like this? I looked through the last 7 days of email, and I wasn’t able to find one. Once I know the approximate timeframe, I’ll be able to do some more digging!

You were right. They were in spam – and sadly partly my fault. So I have to ask, how can I stop receiving comments of blogs I’m following, in which I had originally commented and asked to receive the blogs. One person was just getting all of these follows. And I stupidly put it in spam, so my spam folder was spamming all of WordPress. So, any suggestions on stopping unwanted comments? Thanks.

    Hi!

Great – I’m glad the emails were getting delivered! If you unspam one of the emails, it should train your email inbox that WordPress.com emails aren’t spam. If it keeps tossing them in there, you might want to create a rule to keep it from happening.

Regarding the comments, it looks like you’re subscribed to quite a few comment sections. The easiest way to manage that would be to enter your email address here:

    Status

Once you receive the details via email to manage your subscriptions, you’ll see the following in the top right-hand corner:

    Screen Shot 2014 10 10 at 11 01 04 AM

If you click “Comments”, you can bulk edit all the comment sections you’re subscribed to.

Let me know if you have any trouble!

The only options I see lead to unsubscribing to the blogs, which I don’t necessarily want to do. Nothing for limiting comments came up on either of the above links.

From the following link, you should only see posts that you are subscribed to the comment section of:

    Status

It will list the site name, but you should also see a column for “Post” indicating that this is for the comment section on a particular post. The top text should also start with “This is the management page for following post comments. “

Can you let me know if you see that on the page?

Thanks, got it. It’s for specific posts. Just what I needed. I’ll save that link.

    Have a great week-end.
