Not receiving notifications

    Hello,
    I’m not receiving email notifications of some of the people that comment on my blog. I have it set so that everyone who comments is supposed to notify me in my email box.

    Two of the people I am not getting notifications from are as follows.
    upwoods.wordpress.com
    carrierubin.com

    There are more, but I can’t remember them all at this time.

    I attempted to put a screen shot in here of my settings, but I guess I don’t know how to do it, because it won’t show up. All of my settings are checked off to receive email notifications for any activity on my blog, which includes comments and likes.

    I’d appreciate any help and/or fix that someone can give me for this issue.

    I’m bumping this up again, concerned that it won’t get read past the first page.

    I’m also wondering if people are getting notifications of my blog post, because I posted today and I’m not getting clicks. I usually get more on the day I post. ~ Lori

    Bumping threads has the opposite effect. Once I have answered all threads posted long before this one was posted I will return here to help you.

    NOTE: Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in chronological order based on datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected.

    How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.

    Please don’t bump your thread by posting into it again because it’s not in your best interest to post to it after it has been tagged for Staff help. Doing that moves the timestamps forward and it takes longer to get a response.

    Hi Lori,

    I’d be happy to investigate this for you. You mentioned there are specific people you aren’t getting comment notifications from. Could you send me a link to some of the posts where they left a comment and you didn’t get a notification about it? It’ll help me to know exactly which comments you didn’t get notified about.

    Hi Rachel,

    I have checked back through my email and comments to get the info you asked for. This problem didn’t happen with all of the commenters, but a few. I did, however, receive notifications of all the ‘likes’ that were clicked. Below is the information you asked for.

    On the blog post titled “Love Bugs … Literally,” I was not notified in my email box about two commenters. Those were Carrie Rubin and Kourtney Heintz. All the others I was notified about.

    On the blog post titled “Out Loud,” I was not notified in my email about two commenters. Those were Kathy and purpleborough. All the other comments from that post I was notified on.

    If you need anymore info, let me know and I’ll see if I can dig it up. I don’t know if you need those commenters blog addresses, but two of them were put in my original post in this thread.

    Hi Lori,

    Thanks for those examples! That’s exactly what I needed. I haven’t been able to figure out why you didn’t get notifications for those comments, so I’m enlisting some help from our team to look into this for you. I’ll let you know as soon as I get more information from them!

    Hi Lori,

    Our team checked our records, and the notification emails for those comments you mentioned were sent to your email address and your email provider accepted them. That means everything worked on this end, and you’ll need to check with your email provider to find out why they didn’t arrive in your inbox.

    I’m going to send you some additional details about this via email — you can use those details to check with your email provider about those missing emails. (Please let me know if you don’t get that email from me!)

    Hi Rachel,

    I appreciate you investigating this for me. I just posted a blog today for the first time since those didn’t show up. Not many comments today so far, but the few I did get popped into my email box just fine.

    I did receive the info you sent in my email regarding the details about those notifications. I’m hoping it was just a fluke with the email system, but I’m hanging on to those details in case it happens again and will use them appropriately.
