Not Receiving Notifications of Comments, Comment Replies

So no news yet? I’ve only just used “comments I have made” for the first time, but it’s no substitute for notifications.

I’m having the same prob
Em of getting no notifications when people reply to my comments. I understand that others are not being notified when I reply. I am logged in.
Please help! :) -
Thank You…. I am now receiving both notifications by email, and upon the notification tab regarding the likes and comments made upon my blog.
Replies to comments I’ve made upon other’s blogs are appearing in my email, however not upon the notification tab. Although I would appreciate the return of all interactions appearing on the notifications tab, the current progress is very heartening… Many Thanks.. :) -
Mike, you’re right – it’s no substitute! And if people I’m replying to on my blog aren’t also using the “comments I’ve made” page, it won’t be of much help! This is so frustrating.

So we can better narrow down the issue, please answer the following 5 questions:
1. Which browser (and version of) are you using? Visit http://supportdetails.com/
2. Which username were you logged in to when you commented?
3. What is the URL of one of the posts you commented on? (only one, please)
4. Are you able to see the notifications as expected at http://wordpress.com/#!/notifications/ ?
5. If you expected to receive notifications via email, did they arrive, and did you check your email’s spam folder?
We’ll look into this, but we’ll need specific answers to all 5 (no shortcuts, please) before proceeding.

2. WordPress user name. maddiecochere Have tried logging out and logging in again, but does not fix problem.
4. No. Only notifications for my own blog posts are showing. No responses to my comments on other blogs.
5. Yes. I rarely use this feature but was forced to yesterday if I wanted to know of responses to my comments.

Negative, endlessly loading icon on blank screen but nothing appears

I have no e-mail notifications active but have been using the toolbar icon which changes to orange when a new reply is made, providing a dropdown box for reading the reply and making a reply to it. This is not functional.We’ll look into this, but we’ll need specific answers to all 5 (no shortcuts, please) before proceeding.

Seems like it may also help what is the URL of your own comment which received a reply that you were not sent notification, and what is the URL of that reply not notified. If that would help, here is an example.

atlantamom23, I recommend upgrading your browser to at least IE 9 (if not 10). If you’re stuck on IE 8 and can’t upgrade, please switch to a different browser, like Firefox or Chrome: http://browsehappy.com/
IE 8 is two versions behind the current, has almost no support for modern web technologies, poor support for web standards, and a fair share of security issues.

Perhaps I should add that notifications are working fine for likes and for comments made on my blog. I am not sure when I last received a notification of a reply from another blog – none are listed in notifications and since the emails are coming through just fine I might not have noticed in the past few days if I accessed them via the email link.
